Summary. How U.S. companies get involved: NASA's NextSTEP partnerships, two NextSTEP solicitation appendices, a contact route, a mailing list and the yearly workshops. It shows the "Moon to Mars Architecture partner pre-formulation process" figure (2024/09/preformulationprocess.png, not fetched). The content is on RT-2 Industry Collaboration.

What the page says

  • "NextSTEP Partnerships." "NASA's Next Space Technologies for Exploration Partnerships (NextSTEP) seeks commercial development of new capabilities for human missions in deep space." "An important part of NASA's strategy is stimulating the commercial space industry while leveraging commercial capabilities to deliver mission capabilities."
  • "NextSTEP Solicitations", two appendices, as printed:

    • "Appendix A: Habitation Systems": "developing habitation concepts for cislunar space and beyond"
    • "Appendix R: Lunar Logistics and Mobility Studies": "study proposals from industry focused on integrated surface logistics architectures and uncrewed mobility systems" ("seek" as printed)

Appendix A's page is not among the sources. Appendix R's page is (source page): a solicitation for industry studies, dated 19 August 2024, with study contracts to nine companies in January 2025. Its title is the nearest match to the 2025 Update's "Lunar Logistics and Mobility", but it is not a paper and names no paper of that title (open question 30); the wiki doesn't treat them as the same thing.

  • "Chat with us!" For "an authorized representative of a U.S.-based organization", contact NASA "following review of the Architecture Definition Document. Please do not send any business proprietary or personally sensitive information."

  • "Meet with Us!" "Workshops are typically held in February of each year."
  • A photo caption dates an industry and academia workshop: "Thursday, Feb. 22, 2024, at the National Academy of Sciences in Washington", with "140 attendees representing 110 industry and academic organizations".
