Summary. The objectives-based approach, a short history, links to the two objectives documents, and the ten goals and nine recurring tenets in NASA's wording. Nothing here is missing from the wiki. The goal and tenet statements match the ones on Objectives and Recurring tenets, which are the 2022 wording (the wiki's check, by eye and by search for five tenet statements). The prose is the 2024 executive overview's (PDF p. 18).

Sections

  • "Historical Context." "Over the last 50 years, the agency has considered many different architectures … However, that interest and desire has not translated into flight missions until NASA's Artemis campaign." Then NASA "adopted and published NASA's Moon to Mars Objectives" and "initiated an annual process" to evolve the architecture. The 2024 overview's text (PDF p. 18).
  • "Documents." Two links: the "Objectives Document" (2022/09/m2m-objectives-exec-summary.pdf, source page) and the "Strategy Document" (2023/04/m2m_strategy_and_objectives_development.pdf, source page). Both are held.
  • "The Strategy and Objectives." "The strategy is not static; it is evolutionary." The objectives are "objectives-based — as opposed to capabilities-based"; "the 'what' and 'why' … before prescribing the 'how' (e.g., a specific launch vehicle, technology, or acquisition approach)". NASA "sought feedback from industry, academia, international partners, and the NASA workforce" and "published them in September of 2022".
  • The ten goals under their names ("Lunar/Planetary Science" and so on) and the nine tenets, "common themes across the objectives", without codes.
